Wild Weather to Kick Off the 2018 Season

 In Blog

Hello Everyone!

We are finally starting to see a turn around in the weather department in the northland! We all have earned the right to enjoy our warmer times ahead. Camping, fishing and relaxing are on a lot of minds, so hang in there…it’s around the corner!

We will be crunched for time this spring, but rest assured we will be ready for you. We have some improvements we hope to tackle in the weeks ahead in the cabins and on the grounds.

Will we have ice on the opener?…..Possibly, but we will be holding out hope that this strong sun does a lot of damage. A lot can happen in a short amount of time, so we will have to hold our breath and see what transpires. We will keep you posted on the progress!

With the delay of the water warming, we should expect the prime bite for walleye and smallmounth to last longer then usual. It sounds as though we will not be facing closure or bait restrictions this year, so that is a relief. With the amount of fish in the system, we are anticipating a good year, so make your plans early if you are kicking around the idea of staying on Mille Lacs this year! Certain weeks are filling up, so if you would like to check availability follow the link on the cabin page, or as always, give us a call. We are always here to help!

Stay tuned to our blog and Facebook for current fishing reports, as we will be posting them after the season opens! Have a great spring and we hope to see you soon.
