Fishing Report….
The weather is starting to cooperate! The forecast is beautiful for the weekend… We are looking forward to it. Here is your fishing report for the week…
Water temps have risen to the mid-50’s. The walleye have started to transition to the deeper water. Depths of 25-30′ have now been holding fish. Try rock-sand or sand-mud transition areas. A few have reported catching females on the mud flats, but we have not had a consistent bite out there yet. The evenings have been still good off of the shallow rocks at sunset.
During the day.. Rigging with a leech or minnow has still been productive, but crawlers have started to shine a bit too.
If you are bobber fishing, try a pink jig head..Pink Northland UV jigs have been doing well on the launch.
Smallmouth… The smallmouth have been staging near the shore to spawn soon.
Baits to try…. Rapala X-Raps, Shadow Raps, small tubes or hair jigs.
We still have a couple cabins open for this beautiful weekend! We hope to see you up here, and thanks to all that joined us for the Memorial weekend!
